SAA is a 12-Step fellowship of people who help each other stop addictive sexual behaviors and discover healthy sexuality. This program can help those struggling with internet pornography, anonymous sex, sex in public, and other compulsive sexual behaviors.
SCA is a 12-Step fellowship for recovery from compulsive sexual behaviors. Similar to SAA, this program can help those struggling with internet pornography, anonymous sex, sex in public, and other compulsive sexual behaviors. SCA was founded by gay men and tends to have more gay-identified men than SAA.
SLAA is a 12-Step program for anyone who "suffers from an addictive compulsion to engage in or avoid sex, love, or emotional attachment." The SLAA program can help those struggling with compulsive anonymous sex, intimacy avoidance, unhealthy romantic obsession and attachment, and other compulsive sexual or romantic behaviors. SLAA tends to have more women and LGBTQ-identifying people than SAA.
DA is a 12-Step program for those "whose use of unsecured debt causes problems and suffering." This recovery program can help people find sobriety from compulsive spending, debting, and other compulsive money-related behaviors that are causing problems in a person's life.
OA is a 12-Step fellowship of people "who through shared experience, strength, and hope are recovering from unhealthy relationships with food and body image." This community-based program can help those struggling with compulsive overeating, anorexia, bulimia, and other compulsive food-related behaviors.
ITAA is a 12-Step program to help those recovering from compulsive internet and technology use. This program can help people who struggle with using certain websites, social media, smartphone apps, television, or video games, among other compulsive online or screen-related behaviors.
CoDA is a 12-Step program for those recovering from codependency. This program can help people who struggle with using other people as their "sole source of identity, value, and well-being" or escape into enmeshed relationships with other people as a way to avoid difficult emotions.
Al-Anon is a 12-Step program for friends, family members, spouses, and partners of alcoholics or addicts. This program can help people who have been affected by a loved one's addiction to find a spiritual way of life that brings happiness and serenity, regardless of whether their loved one stops acting out in their addiction.
ACA is a 12-Step program for people who grew up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional family. This program can help people "identify and heal core trauma, experience freedom from shame and abandonment, and become our own loving parents."
